Psst, we have a little hidden message in our name, the Sakers Nest. It refers back to my Hungarian origins that I very much value and cherish.
The saker falcon is Hungary’s national bird and is the origin of the mythical creature, the Turul, a great, bird of prey god. The turul is believed to be the ancestor of all Hungarians according to the prehistoric Hungarian faith and symbolizes our unity.
That said, I would like this little shop to be a nest for Hungarian artists, which nurtures them and lets them show off their wings. I would like to deliver their great creativity and quality work to other quirky and authentic people in the United Kingdom – regardless of nationality.
In the end of the day, everyone deserves a little bit of Hungary in their homes.
